Significant Events

Minimal
Creeping
Smoldering

The Remington Fire exhibited Minimal fire behavior today. Warm and dry weather supported smoldering and creeping fire activity in sheltered timbered stands, primarily along the Northern portion of the fire. Hot and dry conditions will increase the potential for new starts from suppression and repair activities.

Outlook
Planned Actions

Patrol and mop-up. Suppression repair and damage assessments. Begin repair.

Projected Incident Activity

12 hours: Sustained warm and dry conditions will persist keeping fuels moistures low and available to support active fire behavior. Interior pockets in timbered stands will continue to consume.

24 hours: A slight cooling trend will arrive over the fire area. This will reduce potential fire behavior on new starts while allowing continued consumption of interior unburned fuels.

Remarks
